WATT?

Human impact on the earth and its processes is the single biggest cause of environmental degradation, and the impact of climate change and global warming are becoming more apparent every day. Watt? depicts how we are changing as humans to preserve our environment and what methods are being used to do this. This is represented though large scale renewable landscapes showing a different side and perspective of how contemporary innovation is harnessing these natural resources. Each work is built from around 60 individual layers and photographs. Each section of the solar farms was photographed individually and layered to create a new perspective of these renewable landscapes. This work is a look at the unseen result of civilization’s race against mankind’s impact on planet earth and makes visible the emerging aesthetics of our future landscapes.
